* Note: Dual Training is charged at $140 per hour. Dual Simulator is charged at $150 per hour. Solo Training is charged at $35 per hour. In addition, Enroute Fees, Landing Fees and Approach Fees are applicable and shall be borne by the student. PAC also reserves the right to vary prices due to un-forseen circumstances.

The training hours stated above are average only. Actual training hours are dependent on the ability of each individual to attain the required standard.

The Multi-Engine IFR Rating (MECIR) is a must for any serious Commercial Pilot seeking employment within the aviation industry. It allows you to command a multi engine aircraft under the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).

Following the CASA syllabus, the MECIR includes a mix of training in the twin engine aircraft and simulator. The MECIR provides the training and skill to allow safe all weather flying, offering the ultimate flexibility to depart and arrive when the weather is marginal.

This rating can be added to a Private or higher category License.

Requirements

  • You must pass the IREX theory examination prior to your flight test
  • Class 2 Medical Certificate
  • CASA PPL or greater
